This policy provides general guidance. Client-specific terms may be governed by a signed agreement, which takes precedence where conflicting.
The ClearSkai Build Promise
- 1-Week Money-Back Guarantee (pre-handover). At any point during the build, up until we hand over keys, if you're not satisfied with the design, the direction, or the level of service, you have 7 days from your most recent build milestone to request a refund of any unused, non-deposit amounts. Once the project is delivered and keys, logins, and code are transferred to you, the build is considered accepted and the money-back window closes, no refunds after handover.
- 3-Month Build Warranty (post-launch). For 90 days after handover, we'll fix any bug we shipped, broken layouts, broken forms, broken links, or anything that demonstrably doesn't work the way it was designed to, at no cost. Warranty does not cover new features, content rewrites, third-party platform changes, or issues caused by edits made by you or another developer after handover.
1) Non-refundable once work begins
Unless otherwise stated in writing, deposits and payments are non-refundable once project work has commenced. The deposit covers discovery, architecture, and reserved schedule capacity.
2) How refunds are calculated
Refunds within the 1-week pre-handover window are prorated against completed milestones. "Unused, non-deposit amounts" means amounts you have paid for build milestones that have not yet been started. Example: on a $6,000 build with a $3,000 deposit, $1,500 paid at the design milestone, and $1,500 reserved for the development milestone — if you cancel after design but before development begins, the $1,500 reserved for development is refundable; the deposit and the completed design milestone are not. Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible, otherwise as service credit.
2) Cancellation during a project
If you cancel after work has started, you remain responsible for amounts due for work performed through the cancellation date and any non-refundable amounts.
3) Monthly services
Monthly services (hosting, maintenance, marketing, content packs, etc.) are billed according to the selected plan and may be cancelled effective the next billing cycle. No partial-month refunds. Third-party subscriptions (CRMs, ad accounts, AI APIs, SMS credits, etc.) are billed separately and remain your responsibility.
4) Late payments
Invoices not paid within 60 days of the due date may incur a 5% late fee on the outstanding balance, applied once after the 60-day mark and monthly thereafter. Work and managed services may be paused until the account is current.
5) Billing disputes & chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first so we can resolve it. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in paused work and suspension of services until resolved.
